sws_mizukiLots of messages in this latest round of communications. I think I'm finally getting all the mail forwarded from the space station I was previously on.
Good news first: My oldest sister has just had a baby boy! She sent me a video and he is precious~ That makes one nephew and three nieces altogether.
Bad news: The farm and orchards are completely unviable now and we probably will have to sell the land... I suppose there's not really anything we can do. My parents are thinking of starting up a farm on a colony somewhere with some of the cryopreserved plant stocks. They're still planning, so we'll see what happens.

I told my sisters about Byodoin-san's interest in me. They say a Lt. Commander is a catch (ha!) and that I should give him a chance. He's not really my type but he's not as horrible as I thought, either, and he's really nice to me. I was going to see how it goes, but now there's the complication of Byodoin-san having a child... I'm ... not really sure of my feelings about the matter right now so I'll hold off on making any decisions, I think.

Date: 2022-09-18 07:04 am (UTC)Yes, we are on Earth! There are still some lovely pockets of natural land left, but who knows for how long. We used to get lots and lots of snow and therefore lots of glacier-fed springs, but that's all gone now. Then forest fires and soil erosion... we tried our best, I'd like to believe.
